The amphitheater of Capua is located about 20 minutes from Naples. It is claimed to be built around 800 BC. It’s the second largest amphitheater in the world, Rome holds the first, and was truly a sight to see! The best feature was that almost every part was accessible and open for viewing. We were able to walk around underneath the theater, which could hold more than 60,000 spectators at one time. We loved exploring the ruins and viewing the arena. This was both of our favorite outings in Italy thus far!!
