Cooking with Vera, again!

Who doesn’t want to take cooking classes in Italy?! I would go every month if I could! Vera is the best, and has taught me a lot already. I had my second class with some of the friends I’ve made on base. Here was the menu:

Fried neapolitian pizza

Cannellini bean salad with assorted vegetables and olive oil

Bruschetta with artichokes

Risotto con zucca (rice with squash)

Turkey roll with wine sauce

Potatoes with fontina cheese

Chocolate lava cakes with gelato- recipe included at then end!


Chocolate Lava Cakes:

120 GR Bitter Sweet Chocolate (70% cocoa)

80 GR Unsalted Butter (Cut into small cubes)

80 GR Sugar

20 GR Flour (Sifted)

2 Eggs

Cut up chocolate bar into small pieces. Melt chocolate in a double broiler, stirring continuously. When chocolate has melted add butter and sugar. Mix well and let cool. In a separate bowl, beat eggs. Add in eggs and flour once completely cooled.

Butter cupcake tins then sprinkle the bottom with bitter sweet cocoa powder. Fill the chocolate tins 3/4 with mixture. Place in oven at 180C/350F. Let bake for 14 minuets. Remove from oven and sprinkle powdered sugar on top. So yummy! Enjoy!!
